About the event
Step behind the scenes at the Sunshine Festival with Maven Hub.
Created especially for home-educated young people and their families, this free, approximately one-hour Youth Participation Session offers something beyond simply attending the festival.
Young people can experience how a real community activity is designed and delivered while taking part in Maven’s Reuse Challenge.
The challenge asks families to choose an everyday item and decide: should it be repaired, reused, recycled or placed in the bin? What else could it become?
Behind the scenes, participants can explore how the activity works, notice what captures visitors’ attention, share their own reuse ideas and see how different people approach the same problem.
Each young person chooses how they would like to participate.
